J. Dent and Clarice Cato Goodyear Scholarship

Award made to veterinary students who demonstrate financial need and who demonstrate by their exceptional conduct their caring and compassionate commitment to the well-being of cats and dogs. Examples of exceptional conduct include, but are not limited to, active involvement in animal disaster relief; cat or dog adoption; foster care of cats or dogs before adoption; feeding/spaying of feral cats; no-cost or low-cost veterinary care to pets of low-income or house-bound owners; hospice care for cats or dogs to prevent euthanasia; community service projects which benefit cats and dogs; or projects that enhance the human-animal bond.
