Noble McDuffie Travel Award

Alumni Linda Noble and Craig McDuffie established this award to encourage students to go and do something outside the box and expand their purpose for travel from “study abroad” to "experience abroad. It is open to any College of Design student who will be traveling after reaching their junior year (or more) and have a desire for personal growth through a hands-on experience not related to their design discipline and not for course credit. Think participation, not observation!

Must be enrolled in the College of Design at North Carolina State University and have reached at least their junior year of undergraduate study. The purpose of the award is for a student to pursue an experience not directly related to that student’s discipline of study. To include a cultural difference, international travel is preferred, but a “foreign” experience could also be found within the USA. Financial need may also be a consideration, but should not be the only criteria.
