Smithfield Foods Scholarship

Since 2002, Smithfield Foods has been proud to provide educational scholarships to the children and dependent grandchildren of our full-time and retired employees.
Employees must have worked with the company a minimum of 18 months for their child or dependent grandchild to be eligible. Scholarships are need based, and the amount is determined by the financial aid office for the school, based on the unmet financial need demonstrated on the FAFSA® form. These scholarships are available in partnership with colleges and universities across the country in the communities in which we operate. Recipients of the Smithfield Foods scholarship must maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA to remain eligible. Students must also submit a letter to Smithfield (coordinated through NCSU’s scholarship office) at the beginning of each school year to give an update on their educational achievements and goals.

Please use this application to apply for the Smithfield Foods Scholarship. Your application should be submitted to the scholarship contact for your school no later than May 15th. Specific instructions for submitting this application to each school, as well as additional program information, are available at smithfieldfoods.com/scholarships.
