Pirkko Palonen Barber Memorial Scholarship Endowment

Provides scholarships based on academic merit for undergraduate students majoring in Mathematics in the College Of Sciences at NCSU . To be eligible for this scholarship, the recipient must be attending college after other life experiences and time away from academics. It is the Donor’s desire that the Scholarship Committee give consideration to students from under represented populations in the Mathematics Department enrollment as determined by the admission’s office in order to enhance the diversity of the student body, to the extent permissible by law. The awards shall be for one academic year and may be renewable provided the student continues to meet satisfactory academic progress.
