Ashley D. Knight
Ashley Knight, Trey’s girlfriend, wants to provide financial support to students in NC State University’s Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering, whose character and interests reflect some of Trey’s attributes. Trey had a great desire to succeed, and he would have loved to help others reach their goals in the field. Trey earned a Bachelor of Science degree from NC State University in 2013. Before graduating, Trey had extensive work experience and already held a full-time position in roadway construction at an engineering contracting company. After graduation, he continued to work at the company in Raleigh, NC as a project engineer/estimator before moving to Tampa, FL in January 2014, where he quickly advanced in his career, becoming a project manager in highway construction. As a result of a tragic job site accident, Trey passed away from this life after 20 months of working for the company. Trey was a humble, extremely hard-working man with many goals and aspirations. He was a man of God, with a great heart, and was loved and admired everywhere he went. Ashley is also a 2013 graduate from NCSU, with a degree in biomedical engineering. Together, she and Trey proudly supported the Wolfpack. Trey’s parents, Kimbrough and Lisa, provided great love, encouragement, guidance, and endless support are what helped Trey through college. The efforts of his parents made Trey the remarkable man he was and allowed him to reach great success before, during, and after his time at NC State.
