The Michael and Olga Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of my grandparents. Higher education was extremely important to them. My grandmother was the first person in her family to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree (Hunter College, CUNY 1940). She was able to do so only because CUNY had no tuition at that time. My grandfather was unable to complete an undergraduate degree due to lack of scholarship funding. As a result, he valued education very highly. It is our hope that this scholarship will help students achieve their educational goals.
