Charles Favor

This scholarship was given by Charles Favor (BS, Mechanical Engineering, 1965) in memory of Thurman L. Overcash. Thurman was a native of China Grove, NC and completed a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1967. As engineers together at Duke Power, Charles remembers Thurman’s eye for detail, always making sure his measurements and calculations were correct and his work was of the highest quality. Thurman also had a passion for the automotive industry and raced his own cars.
