Cheryl M. and James A. Brown

Cheryl Brown (Mechanical Engineering ‘81) and her husband, James Brown (Mechanical Engineering ‘94), have been a part of the NC State community since the 1970s. They have two sons who are both NC State graduates. Cheryl and James have both worked at NC State in the Facilities Division, and they have both had previous experience in the nuclear utility business. The Browns are lifelong Wolfpack Club members.

Cheryl and James believe that diversity in their field is crucial. They hope that by establishing this scholarship they will be able to provide need-based support for future mechanical engineering students. The Browns feel that education is critical to one’s success, and they would like for others to have the opportunity for a college education.
