College of Engineering (Cartwright)

The LW Cartwright, Jr. Memorial Scholarship was established on March 24, 1943. Lieutenant Commander and Mrs. Cartwright created the scholarship in memory of their son, Lieutenant LW Cartwright, Jr., an alumni of North Carolina State College of Agriculture and Engineering , class of 1940, who was killed in the line of duty of September 27, 1942 while flying an Army plane.
