Impact

David P. Harris, Sr. affectionately known by his students as “Mr. Dave”, had a very positive and profound impact on many of the students at Christ School including myself. During my years at Christ School, he served as a mentor and encouraged me to pursue an engineering degree at NC State as he believed I showed promise in my studies of math and science. Although I eventually decided not to attend NC State, I will never forget Mr. Dave’s influence and his devotion to Christ School students along with his strong loyalty to NC State as a proud alumnus who studied chemistry there.

In recognition of Mr. Dave’s keen interest in his students and in recognition of his devotion to NC State, I was very pleased to establish an endowed scholarship to assist qualified Christ School students to pursue an engineering degree at NCSU.
