David B. Morgan Jr.
David Bradley Morgan Sr. founded Morgan Manufacturing Company, a furniture manufacturer that was located in Black Mountain, North Carolina. His son David B. Morgan Jr. established the David B. Morgan Sr. Scholarship Endowment and named it in honor of his father. Morgan Manufacturing Company had a long history of working closely with NC State University professors and students in the 1960s. They were instrumental in solving a number of wood-technology problems, particularly with challenges the company encountered with pine lumber used for furniture. Prior to running Morgan Manufacturing Company, Morgan Jr. graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in the 1930s with a degree in aeronautical engineering. The photograph shows David B.
