Dr. and Mrs. Johnny C. Wynne

Dr. Johnny C. Wynne, who hails from Bear Grass, NC, began his time at NC State as a student earning his bachelor’s degree and never left the campus, as he rose through the ranks from student, to professor, to dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Dr. Wynne and his wife established the Wynne Fund for Innovation, which still enables CALS deans to fund unique programs in CALS. Dr. Wynne retired from serving as dean in 2012.
