Dr. Charles Safley, Mr. Bob Usry

Established by the Agribusiness/NAMA Club at North Carolina State University, in honor of Mr. Robert “Bob” Usry, this award was renamed in September 2008 after upon Mr. Usry’s retirement. Mr. Usry received his BS in Agricultural Economics and his Master’s in Economics from NC State. After graduation, he served as an extension specialist and lecturer in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics. In 1993, he received a NC State Outstanding Teacher Award. This scholarship provides funding to undergraduate students enrolled in the two-year and four-year program at NC State on the basis of academic merit, leadership, and active participation in the Agribusiness/NAMA Club and other related activities.
