Dr. Elizabeth A. Nance
Dr. Elizabeth A. Nance is the daughter of Rev. Warren G. Nance and Mrs. Candace Nussman Nance of Indian Trail, NC. Elizabeth enrolled at North Carolina State University, earning a B.S. in Chemical Engineering with honors in 2006 with minors in Biotechnology and English. She followed in the footsteps of Roger Nussman, her uncle, and Chad Nussman, her cousin, both of whom earned B.S. degrees in Chemical Engineering at NC State.
Elizabeth was accepted into graduate school at The Johns Hopkins University, earning a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering in 2012. For the next two years, she was a Hartwell Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. In September of 2015, Elizabeth was names Clare Boothe Luce Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Washington.
Impact
Elizabeth created the Edna Loretta Nussman Scholarship to honor her maternal grandmother.
