Dr. Tony Sigmon
Dr. Tony Sigmon, founder and corporate president of Collegiate Capital Management headquartered in Raleigh, and his family are enthusiastic Wolfpackers. Both of his children, their spouses, his stepdaughter, and her husband also graduated from NC State. Sigmon received his bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in engineering science and mechanics from the College in 1974, 1975 and 1977, respectively. Sigmon started his company in 1994 after working as an engineer at RTI International for 12 years and receiving his M.B.A. from Duke University. His allegiance to NC State has never wavered.
Impact
The Sigmon family believes that NC State changed the trajectory of their lives, impacting them professionally and personally. Their lives are continually enriched by their relationships with the University, and they hope that this scholarship can enable other future Wolfpackers to fulfill their education and career goals.
