Elizabeth W. and Paul C. Harkins in memory of their son Paul Daniel (Danny) Harkins (2000-2020)

Danny Harkins attended NC State University as an intended Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering major in the College of Engineering. He attended NC State from the fall of 2018 to the spring of 2020, when he passed away unexpectedly at the age of 19. Danny graduated in 2018 from Mount Tabor High School in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. At Mount Tabor he played lacrosse, swam and dove.

Danny was a bright student who asked in-depth questions. He also had a passion for airplanes and cars, and he enjoyed working with computer hardware and other electrical circuitry. In addition, he had a passion for history, and he was influenced by music and poetry. Danny loved his time at NC State because it was a place where he met people who shared is varied interest and deep thinking.
