Forest Management Class of 1960
The Class of 1960 Scholarship Endowment was established in 1996 by the Forest Management Class of 1960. The Endowment was established to provide scholarships to undergraduate students enrolled in Forest Management.

In 1960, the School of Forestry was the fastest growing school by percentage at NC State, then called State College, and only the School of Engineering enrolled more freshman students at the time. Over thirty graduate students were enrolled with half of these students working towards their Ph.D. The student camp at Hill Forest was named the George K. Slocum Memorial area in memory of professor George Slocum.
