Friends of Dr. Myron Kelly

The Dr. Myron Kelly Endowment was established in 2004 by students, faculty, alumni, and friends in honor of Dr. Myron Kelly to recognize the significant contributions he has made to the wood products program at NC State.

Myron W. Kelly completed his undergraduate studies (1964) in Wood Products Engineering at SUNY College of Forestry and his postgraduate work (1969) in Wood and Paper Science at NC State. After completing his Ph.D., he worked as a Resin Chemist at Borden Chemical Company and continued to work there until 1972. Dr. Kelly then returned to NC State (1972) as an Assistant Professor in the Wood and Paper Science Department and went on to work as a Professor. He is the recipient of the NC State Outstanding Teacher Award (1979-80) (1982-83) (1998-99) and the NC State Alumni Distinguished Professor Award (1986).
