In memory of Dexter and Mabel Penny

This scholarship endowment was established to honor the memory and family farm heritage of Dexter and Mabel Penny of Garner, North Carolina, by their three granddaughters. In establishing this scholarship, they hoped to honor their grandparents by providing scholarships to deserving recipients enrolled in the Agricultural Institute in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at NC State who love the same lifestyle that their grandparents enjoyed and who want to continue in that tradition. Priority for this scholarship is given in order to students from Garner, NC, then Wake County, and lastly, any student in the Agricultural Institute.
