Jim and Paula Bowen

The Jim and Paula Bowen Scholarship Endowment was established in 2007 by Jim and Paula Bowen.

Mr. Bowen is a 1972 graduate of the Paper Science program at NC State and has spent his entire career with Sonoco. He received his masters in business administration from Duke University in 1996. He received the distinguished “Fuqua Scholar- Class of 1996” from Duke. He was promoted to senior vice president at Sonoco in 2002 and remained in that position until his retirement in 2012.
Jim has been an active supporter of the Paper Science program with annual giving, service on the Pulp and Paper Foundation Board of Directors and hosting recruiting events for area high school students in Hartsville SC. He is a member of the Natural Resources Foundation Board.
