My life has been profoundly enriched by the experience and education I received at NC State, and specifically by the School of Engineering. Our scholarship is intended to help others, some less fortunate, attend the University and be availed the opportunities an engineering education provides.
Impact
The scholarship was established to honor my father, who grew up in North Carolina, and started from a very poor farming family, went on to attend college, advance to the rank of Captain during WWII, and subsequently become a medical doctor serving rural Granville County. He was my hero.
