Kamyr Inc.

The Michael I Sherman Endowed Scholarship was established in 1988 by Kamyr Inc. in honor of Michael I. Sherman.

Mr. Sherman was a graduate of McGill University in Canada where he received his BS in Engineering. He then went to work for Kamyr in 1960 in their Field Department. Over the years he served in several positions, leading to the position of Chairman of the Board and CEO of the company until his retirement in 1988. Through mergers, Kamyr became known as Andritz.
