Ken and Cathy Hines

The Ken Hines, Jr. and Cathy Hines Endowment was established in 2006 by Ken and Cathy Hines. Mr. Hines graduated from NC State in 1979 with a BS in Forestry. Ken worked at the NC Forest Service, then got his MBA from UNC-CH. After 5 years as a corporate broker, Ken joined John Hancock as head of the timber and forest products finance team. Ken was a long time board member of the College of Natural Resources Foundation and was instrumental in negotiating the Hofmann timber deal. Ken and Cathy are retired and live in Wilmington, NC. Ken is pictured here with his son, Scott, in 2006.
