Lisa Johnson Hobbs Memorial

Born to Lloyd Michael Johnson and Linda Boykin Johnson, Lisa grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina. She graduated from Walter Hines Page High School in 1993 before attending North Carolina State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in horticultural science in 1998. In 2016, she married Frederick Walter Hobbs. Soon after, her father passed away in December 2017. Lisa enjoyed her life and had the most wonderful friends. She enjoyed traveling with her family and friends. She loved her Wolfpack and attended many ball games. Lisa passed away on June 8, 2024, at the early age of 48. This gift of scholarships to students in financial need is something she would have been proud to support. It is with great pride that her mother establishes the Lisa Johnson Hobbs Memorial Horticultural Science Scholarship Endowment to those in need in Lisa’s memory.
