LORD Corporation was founded by Hugh Lord, a patent attorney whose curiosity and analytical
thinking around mechanics resulted in many inventions. It all began in 1924 when he thought
automobiles were too loud. His patents in noise and vibration control led to quieter automobiles.
Today, LORD has more than 3,000 employees in 26 countries and operates 19 manufacturing
facilities and 10 R&D centers worldwide. LORD Corporation is a diversified technology and
