Max & Jane Gordon

Max & Jane Gordon

Max graduated in 1948 from the NCSU School of Engineering. That same year, Max and Jane were married. He served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII and retired as a Major from the Air Force Reserves. Max spent much of his professional career at Brenner Industries in Winston-Salem working as an estimator in the steel fabrication division. He retired in 1976, and he and Jane divided their time between the farm in Monroe, NC and their home in Myrtle Beach, SC. During their retirement, they developed many talents. Both Max and Jane were stained-glass artists, avid gardeners and world travelers. Max was passionate about physical fitness. He holds power-lifting records in the state of North Carolina, which many believe will never be broken. Max and Jane were active members of the Methodist Congregations in Monroe and Myrtle Beach Air Force Base.  

Impact

Max and Jane were passionate in their support for NCSU. Max received an excellent education and made life long friends at State. They wanted to help other students pursue their education.
