Merrill & Chuck Keeley
Keeley Family Endowed Scholarship
The Keeley family has attended NC State for three generations, starting with Chuck’s father, Charles Keeley, Jr. in 1948. Charles was a die hard Pack fan and his passion has influenced the Keeley family for generations. At Charles’ celebration of life in 2012, there were many Wolfpacker’s in attendance, young and old. Chuck and his family are very thankful for their long term connections to the school.
Impact
What inspired you to establish a scholarship at the Poole College of Management and what do you hope it will accomplish?
We feel that education is critical in giving young men and women the foundational skills necessary to succeed in life. Many young people are not able to take advantage of the educational opportunities that the Poole College of Management offers due to financial constraints. By bridging that gap, we hope students can take full advantage of the resources that were available to us. And ultimately, they will make a positive difference in other people’s lives in the future.
The Poole College of Management gives students the opportunity to develop their IQ, their EQ, and their AQ. Any one of which can have an incredibly positive impact on your life personally and professionally. I hope that every student will strive to develop all three to their fullest while they pursue their education at NC State.
