Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. May

Known as Johnnie by his friends, John May was born in Cali, Columbia, South America. He attended school in Cali at Colegio Colombo Britanico. Having a sincere interest in poultry stemming from his father’s company, Cia Avicola Suramericana, John came to Raleigh to attend NC State. He earned a BS in Poultry Science and his Master of Science in Poultry Science. He was an exceptional student and received several scholarships and awards in recognition of this academic achievements. He loved sports and was especially active in soccer, creating the “Latinos”, a soccer team that competed in both the Capital Areal Soccer League and also intramurals at NC State. After completing his MS degree, he went to work for Cobb-Vantress with the personal goal to become an International Representative which he accomplished in a very short time and at a young age, he was highly respected worldwide. He made friends everywhere he traveled.
