Mr. and Mrs. Randall V. Canady

Randy Canady graduated from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at NC State in 1992 with a degree in Agricultural Business Management. A 1999 recipient of the Agricultural and Resource Economics’ Young Achiever Award, he credits the knowledge and experience he gained at NC State and contacts made through the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences with setting him on a career path within the crop protection industry. In 2003, he decided to chase a dream with a former colleague. They built a post-patent pesticide business that they sold to Nufarm, the eighth-largest pesticide manufacturer in the world.
