Mr. Dan Weathington
The North Carolina Small Grain Growers Association, Inc. was formed in 1986 by a group of small grain growers and agri-business representatives from across North Carolina and is a nonprofit corporation established to encourage, promote and develop more efficient small grain marketing and production and to participate in all matters relative to the interest of small grain production. Recognizing that recruitment and retention of students interested in careers and research in small grain production, Agricultural Education, and NC Cooperative Extension Agents is critical to the continued profitability and enhancement of our state’s small grain industry, the Association created this merit-based scholarship and awards program to assist students enrolled in small grain related fields of study in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at NC State University.
