Mr. J. Nick Fountain, RADM Robert R. Fountain, Jr., Dr. Stuart B. Fountain

Mr. Fountain was a 1927 graduate of North Carolina State University. During his college years, Mr. Fountain was a very active member of the student body and assumed leadership roles in numerous activities. He led his class academically and was elected to several academic societies. He served as editor-in-chief of the Technician, was an officer in student government, drum major in the band, member of the glee club, director of the Agricultural Fair, active in the debate and oratorical societies, and held various roles in the poultry science and agricultural clubs. Mr. Fountain was a consistently supportive alumnus of North Carolina State University and served as President of the Alumni Association. In honor of their father and his accomplishments, the family established this scholarship for students with interests and capabilities similar to their father on the 75th anniversary of his graduation from NC State.
