Mr. Kenneth Lowe

The Bruce Lowe Scholarship I sin honor of Bruce Allen Lowe: remembered for his kindness, tolerance, humor, and compassion. Bruce was the younger brother of Kenneth Lowe, who established this award. Bruce graduated from NC State in 1977 with a double major in speech communication. Bruce joined Pi Kappa Alpha and formed lifelong friendships and fraternity brothers. Bruce loved Wolfpack football and basketball and gave generously to the Wolfpack Club.
Kenneth Lowe earned his BA degree in radio, television, and motion pictures from UNC-CH. He was also a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He joined a Fortune 500 media company, Scripps, in 1980 and was later elected CEO of the company in 2000. Throughout his career, he had many accomplishments including the founding of the Home & Garden Television channel (HGTV).
