Mr. Larry W. Ausley

The scholarship honors Wally Ausley (now deceased) for his many contributions to the community and to the field of public broadcasting. Mr. Ausley was awarded the Watauga Medal, the university’s highest non-academic honor in 1980, for his extensive service on behalf of the university through sports broadcasting, the WPTF Farm Hour and his reporting of general university information. This scholarship is awarded to an outstanding student in the Department of Communication.
