Mr. Michael Sherrill

The M.G. Newell Company, Inc., founded by Myron G. Newell, in Greensboro, North Carolina, began as a store that sold a variety of tools and necessities including hand churns and buggies. The company later began to include farm machinery in their product line, and in the 1920s they were transitioning to specialize in the dairy business. The company has evolved into industries including food, beverages, and pharmaceutical and personal care needs and is now a full service system integration company. Awards are issued to Food Science students with academic merit and leadership skills.
