Mr. & Mrs Carl & Anne Montgomery

Gene grew up on the tobacco farm that had been in his family for over 200 years. He graduated from NC State with a degree in agricultural technology in 1962, the last year the school was known as “NC State College”. Gene married Anne Carole Jones, another Person County native, during his junior year. He loves NC State athletics, and especially enjoys using his season tickets for football. He wants the scholarship to help relieve some of the financial burden for other young people as the pursue an education at NC State.
