Mr. & Mrs. Johnny & Mendy Jeffreys, Ms. Marsha Cates Altmeyer

Mr. Chas. F. (Charles Fletcher) Cates established what became Swathmore Farms in Mebane, NC, circa 1907, building a prize Jersey dairy operation. A leader in the prgressive farmer movement and a certified Master Farmer, Mr. Cates served his community, Alamance County, and the state of North Carolina with a particular interest in improving educational and economic opportunities for North Carolina farmers.
