Mr. Richard B. Knight

Family and friends of Professor Richard Bennett Knight established this scholarship in his honor in 1980. Professor Knight is a former LL Vaughn Professor of Mechanical Engineering at NC State. He taught in many foreign countries, including Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, Columbia, Iraq, Egypt, Syria, and several other countries in South America and the Middle East. Mr. Knight also served as a mechanical engineer for the Chemical Warfare Service during the first part of WWII.
