Mr. Steve E. Smith

Mr. Steve E. Smith is a former student of the Agricultural Institute, Class of 1966. He worked for over 35 years in the tobacco warehouse business in North Carolina, South Carolina and Kentucky. He is a past member of the Flue-Cured Tobacco Advisory Committee (USDA), a past president of the Carolina-Virginia Old Belt Warehouse Association and past member of the Board of Governors of the Bright Belt Warehouse Association. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the NC Tobacco Foundation, Inc. and a member of the Tobacco Growers Association of North Carolina. He and his wife, Alice, have two children. His daughter is a graduate of NC State, Class of 1998, and his son graduated from the Agricultural Institute in 2000.
