Mr. Wendell H. Murphy

Wendell H. Murphy of Murphy Farms, Inc., was born in Rose Hill, N.C. Mr. Murphy was President and Chairman of the Board of Murphy Farms, a 1960 graduate of NC State University, and a former Senator in the NC General Assembly. Murphy Farms was North Carolina’s largest pork producer and one of the nation’s largest producers. Its advanced operations served as a model for Eastern North Carolina.
