Mrs. Catherine Parker

Dr. John C. Rice was a professor in the Department of Crop Science from 1952-1980. During his tenure, he gave distinguished service to North Carolina and the University development of agriculture as teacher, researcher, extension worker and counselor to students. The scholarship was established in his honor by associates, friends and family as a tribute to his interest in helping young people prepare themselves for careers in agriculture.
