Mrs. Odile M. and Dr. C.R. Gould

Chris Gould is a recently retired Alumni Distinguished Undergraduate Professor of Physics and has been pleased to serve in a number of roles during his 43 years on the faculty at the NC State College of Sciences. Chris was born in Newbury, England and moved to the US for graduate school in 1965 where he met his wife, Odile Marie Allain of Claveisolles, France. Their two children are both proud UNC system graduates, Natalie from Chapel Hill, and Annabelle from the College of Design at NC State.

Impact

Chris and Odile Gould wish to recognize Meredith Davis for her long term service to the graphic design program at NC State. Meredith was Department Chair at the time their daughter Annabelle graduated from the program in 1993. Annabelle is now an Associate Professor in Visual Communication Design at the University of Washington, also serving as the chair of the program. Annabelle and other NC State design graduates deeply appreciate Meredith for her national impact on design education, and for the professional mentoring and wise advice she has generously given to many students over the course of a long and distinguished career.
