Ms. Cynthia F. Erdahl

The scholarship was originally established by Mrs. Frances W. Erdahl, in memory of her husband, Gerald O. T. Erdahl and later re-named by their daughter, to honor both of her parents. The Erdahls were committed to providing first-class cultural and educational opportunities for NC State students. Mr. Erdahl established the NC State Student Union and served as its first director. In 1962, the Erdahl-Cloyd Union was dedicated and remains today a wing of the D.H. Hill Library.
