Phillip E. Fleming

The Phillip E. Fleming Endowed Scholarship was established in 1991 by the late Mr. Phil Fleming.

Mr. Fleming was the director of community programs for Carolina Power and Light Company in Raleigh. He was active in the enhancement and promotion of tourism and tourism education in North Carolina. Mr. Fleming founded the Tourism Education Foundation of NC, Inc., which now provides six additional scholarships around the state for tourism students.
