Steven and Eva Wardrup

L. Steven Wardup & Eva N. Wardup Endowment

Steven received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Recreation and Resource Management in 1973, after completing 3 years in the US Army, including a year in Vietnam. During his time as a student, he worked several part time jobs at NC State to help pay for his education. He began working with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in the late 1970s, a career he still holds as the GIS Manager for the City of Alpharetta, Georgia. He enjoys activities with family, church, tennis, and travel, both US and internationally.
Eva worked at the DH Hill Library at NC State while Steven was a student, a career she continued when they moved to Georgia, working for both Atlanta-Fulton and Forsyth County Public Libraries.

Impact

What inspired you to establish a scholarship at the Poole College of Management and what do you hope it will accomplish?

The L. Steven and Eva N. Wardrup Scholarship for the Poole College of Management was established to give back to the school a portion of the value of the education received at North Carolina State University.

Both Eva and I have established scholarships at our respective schools, Meredith College & NC State. They are our way of saying thanks and giving to students who need help today.
