Henry Nauss Scholarship Fund

This scholarship was established by Mr. Henry Nauss for residents of Swain County who plan to major in any fields of engineering, chemistry or biological science. Mr. Nauss was a chemical engineer, and although he did not attend NC State, he developed an interest in our University through a neighbor who was an NCSU graduate. The scholarship is intended for students who demonstrate high academic merit and financial need. We are delighted to recognize your academic accomplishment with this distinguished award and wish you success in your studies at NC State University.

Eligibility Requirements:
-Must be a graduate of Swain County High School, resident of Swain County,.
-Demonstrate financial need as determined by FAFSA,.
-Major in any of the following fields: Engineering, Chemistry, or Biological Science.
-Must maintain full time enrollments of at least 12 credit hours per semester
-Remain in an undergraduate program pursuing your first degree
-Maintain satisfactory academic progress
-Maintain a 3.00 cumulative GPA
-You may not be eligible to receive another major University award in conjunction with this award
-Your total awards including the scholarship cannot exceed the cost of attendance
