McMurray Family Pioneer Scholarship

Distributions from the fund will be used to provide need-based scholarships for students pursuing an undergraduate degree in the Wilson College of Textiles. Preference for this award will also be given to students who meet one or more of the following criteria:

-Students who have demonstrated leadership skills, who have overcome specific challenges including, but not limited to, the death or unemployment of a parent, and who are residents of rural NC counties, which are all the counties in NC except for Mecklenburg, Forsyth, Guilford, Durham, Wake and New Hanover counties.
- Student who are resident of any county who are first generation in their family to attend college.
- Students pursuing an undergraduate degree in Polymer and Color Chemistry, Textile Engineering or Textile Technology.
