Eric A. Cranford Endowed Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Emily C. Cranford and Fred and Betsy Cranford in loving memory of her husband and their son, Lt. Cdr. Eric A. Cranford. Lt. Cdr. Cranford was on active duty at the Pentagon in Washington, DC when he was tragically killed in the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001. The scholarship is intended for Burke County residents who demonstrate high academic merit. We are delighted to recognize your academic accomplishment with this distinguished award and wish you success in your studies at NC State University.

Eligibility Requirements:
-Must be a graduate of a Burke County, North Carolina. Recipient(s) must also be in the top 10% of their high school graduating class and must be nominated by their high school guidance department.
-Must maintain full time enrollments of at least 12 credit hours per semester
-Remain in an undergraduate program pursuing your first degree
-Maintain satisfactory academic progress
-You may not be eligible to receive another major University award in conjunction with this award
-Your total awards including the scholarship cannot exceed the cost of attendance
-Maintain a 3.000 cumulative GPA
