J. Crawford & Hazel T. Caton Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 1992 by Colonel J. Crawford and Mrs. Hazel T Caton for the purpose of providing financial assistance to an undergraduate program with preference to students from a NC qualified orphanage or group home who exhibit academic achievement, leadership, citizenship, and extra-curricular interests from North Carolina. We are delighted to recognize your academic accomplishment with this distinguished award and wish you success in your studies at NC State University.

Eligibility Requirements:
-Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program
-First preference is for students from an orphanage or group home in NC who exhibits academic achievement, leadership, citizenship, and extracurricular interests
-Must maintain full time enrollments of at least 12 credit hours per semester
-Maintain satisfactory academic progress (https://studentservices.ncsu.edu/your-degree/academic-progress/)
-Remain in an undergraduate program pursuing your first degree

-Receipt of a major university award may impact eligibility for this award
-Total financial aid, including this scholarship and any “outside” award, may not exceed the cost of attendance
