• Awarded to outstanding full-time undergraduate students in the College of Education with demonstrated leadership potential shown through extracurricular and community activities * Merit-based * Must have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.25 or higher and must have combined SAT score of 1100 with a verbal or mathematical minimum score no less than 500 or an ACT score of 23 or greater * Must be a North Carolina resident * Preference given, but not limited to, students from rural western North Carolina.
