Nellie Maude Matthews Owens Scholarship

This scholarship was established through the NC State Alumni Association to benefit undergraduate students with financial need. Preference is given to students who are residents of the following North Carolina counties: Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Dare, Gates, Pasquotank, and/or Perquimans. Awards will be for one academic year and may be renewable regardless of financial need and the recipient meets the requirements listed below.

Eligibility Requirements for Renewal after initial award
-File the FAFSA by the University deadline annually
-Preference given to students who are residents of Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Dare, Gates, Pasquotank and/or Perquimans counties in North Carolina.
-Must maintain full time enrollments of at least 12 credit hours per semester
-Remain in an undergraduate program pursuing your first degree
-Maintain satisfactory academic progress
-You may not be eligible to receive another major University award in conjunction with this award
-Your total awards including the scholarship cannot exceed the cost of attendance
